VP Flight Operations: Must
have heavy jet experience and proven management skills.
• The VP of Operations is directly responsible to the President/CEO for the
safe conduct of flight operations of the Company's aircraft.
• He (or She) or his designee maintains operational control of each flight.
This function includes being jointly responsible with the PIC for the
initiation, continuation, diversion, and termination of each flight.
• He is responsible for the storage and maintenance of all flight and
training records for all operations conducted by Family Airlines. He is
responsible for the Company Training Manual
• The VP of Operations delegates the authority of coordinating operational
control to the Flight Follower without relinquishing responsibility over
those functions.
• He is responsible for the evaluation of the areas, routes, and airports
where the Company will operate. Approval will be coordinated with the
Principal Operations Inspector in accordance with the requirements for the
issuance of Operations Specifications, regulation and Company policy and
procedure.
• Ensures that crew members assigned to flight duty are legally rested in
accordance with the General Operations Manual and 14 CFR Part 121 Subpart S
• He assists in the formulation and execution of Company Policies and
Procedures as they may relate to the operation and release of aircraft,
piloting, flight crew training, flight control and related flight crew
personnel matters.
• He is responsible for the development of and adherence to flight
operations standards and specifications, the selection and training of
flight crews and their day-to-day performance.
• He coordinates with and advises Maintenance and Quality Control on matters
relating to the operation of aircraft.
• He functions as primary liaison with the Principal Operations Inspector
(POI).
• Participates as a voting member of the CASP Review Board.
• He has primary responsibility for the safe and efficient conduct of the
daily flight schedule and welfare of personnel assigned to his department.
• He has primary responsibility for the development of and adherence to the
operating budget of the
Flight Operations Department, as well as for certain capital budgets
pertinent to his department. He advises the President/CEO concerning the
acquisition of new aircraft and new flight-related equipment.
• He maintains copies of Weight and Balance/Load Manifest, flight release,
airworthiness release, pilot route certification and flight plans for 3
months. 14 CFR 121.697 (e)
• He is responsible for monitoring flights. 14 CFR 121.537 (c)
• Signs and maintains the Operations Specifications Parts A, B, and C.
• The VP of Operations must meet the qualifications specified in 14 CFR
119.67 (a) and be familiar with the contents of the Family Airlines Manuals,
Operations Specifications and the 14 CFR regulations.
• Assumes operational control for the airline.
• Thorough knowledge of 14 CFR Parts 91, 119 and 121 as expressed through
Family Airlines policies and procedures.
• Must be immediately available either in person or by voice telephone
throughout the duration of the OCD duty period
Director of Cargo
Sales - 5 -
10 years cargo sales experience. Proven management experience.
Director of Tours
and Group Sales -
5 - 10 years experience in travel sales. Proven management
experience.
Captains and
First Officers -
747 with 100, 200, 300, 400 experience.
Director of Risk
Management -
10+ years experience in all areas Risk Management. Proven
management experience.
Manager of Technical
Publications – Guide and direct the
publications, distribution and revision of the Family Airlines system of
company manuals. Generate records and produces reports demonstration
compliance with the FAR’s expressed throughout the policies, procedures and
other safety attributes contained in the FAI safety System manuals.
Manual Clerk
– A & P Mechanic familiar with 14 CFR FAR manual
construction. Recent 121 experience. Retirees welcome.
Basic computer skills.
Dispatcher - Part 121 Domestic Airline
Must be
FAA licensed Dispatcher.
Experienced with FAA flight plans, flight preparation
duties, aviation weather, and flight following.
Must have good working knowledge of FARs, weather
minimums, aircraft performance data to include takeoff and landing weights,
computer skills to develop alternative flight plans, an understanding
of required aircraft maintenance (Minimum Equipment List and its effects on
flight planning), be able to coordinate with maintenance, load planning,
passenger and baggage counts and their effects on flight planning,
coordinating in flight incidents and emergencies with appropriate
authorities, coordinating in flight diversions, coordinating with station
operations and assisting air crews in all matters related to safe operation
of a Boeing 747.
Knowledge of aviation technology such as ATC Clearances,
TCAS, ADS-B, CPDLC, ARINC, ACARS, and Flight Management Systems would be a
plus.
